Holding a family close in prayer 🙏

Hi dear friends đź’›

I wanted to share something tender with you.

This week, sweet Brielle Bird passed away after her courageous battle with cancer. She was deeply loved, fiercely brave, and full of light. Her life, though far too short, touched more hearts than she could ever know.

I’ve followed Brielle’s journey and have felt so blessed to watch her courage and strength and even the perseverance of her mother, Kendra as well. I had written a song for Kendra back in May called “Sit with me” after reading a post she shared about their unimaginable journey. Watching their heartbreak has been difficult but life changing.

My heart aches for Brielle’s parents, especially her mother Kendra, who has endured the unthinkable with so much faith, honesty, and love. If you feel prompted, I would be so grateful if you would join me in praying for their family, that they would feel wrapped in peace, comforted by heaven, and surrounded by the Savior’s nearness in the days ahead.

In moments like this, words fall short. But I believe deeply in a God who is close to the brokenhearted, who sits with us, weeps with us, and who holds our loved ones more tenderly than we ever could. I believe Brielle is safe, whole, healed, and held.

Thank you for being a community that loves, prays, and carries one another.
May we learn to sit with those who grieve, to love gently, and to trust that Christ is present, even in the deepest sorrow.

With love,
Bekah
